When it comes to photography, we have one goal…and that’s to make you look good. There’s no denying that one of our favorite things to work with is food (I mean, can you blame us?), and with The FunKY Bean, one of our newest clients, we get to do exactly that.
Throughout the week, we keep in touch with The FunKY Bean to help curate content for their website, social media, and any other advertising options. When it comes to social media, we often get pictures sent to us, showing what FunKY throwing down for their weekly specials. When they’re ready, we pop by, snap some pictures, and then use them to really bring out the best (and tastiest) elements of what The FunKY Bean has to offer.
Check out some of these before and after photos to see what we bring to the table when it comes to food photography:
You can’t go wrong with a good grilled cheese and tomato soup! But…the first pic isn’t very flattering. Cell phone cameras and low light don’t play very nice, even with the newest generation of phones. Using an off camera flash, with a professional camera really let’s us control all aspects of the image.
The FunKY Bean has amazing pasta, but you’d never know it if we didn’t amplify the pictures we had. Sometimes cell phone cameras have a problem capturing specific colors as accurately as they should. In this case, notice the difference between the red in the sauce for each image. Reds truly are ignored by some sensors when light isn’t absolutely perfect.
This is another instance of low light causing a lower quality image. If you only have a cell phone, make sure that you have as much natural light as possible to help you in your shoot. Large windows can help in a pinch, just make sure they’re behind you!
Everyone loves a good taco, but the before pictures here just don’t do them justice! These babies deserve all the love, and not just a quick pic from a cell phone camera! Do it right! Or just call us 😉
See ya soon!
